Manchester United chiefs will refuse to entertain any approach from rivals Manchester City for Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial.
Pep Guardiola is a fan of both players and some reports last week suggested the Citizens may even try to tempt their bitter neighbours with a huge cash offer for Martial this summer, who is now looking to quit Old Trafford.
It’s understood England forward Rashford is another City are understood to be keeping a ‘watching brief’ on, with the United acadmey graduate still waiting to see how his starting opportunities will fare next season under Jose Mourinho.
The Manchester-born starlet is entering the final two years of his contract and United are desperate to tie him down further to a new longer term deal, with rumours his camp are in no rush at this stage.
One thing is certain, however, even City’s vast cash resources wouldn’t be enough for United to contemplate selling either Rashford or Martial across town, such is the inevitable meltdown it would cause among United supporters, who are already upset two of their brightest talents have struggled to be showcased properly during the last year.
