Marcelo reveals fan sympathy

Marcelo has defended supporters’ right to boo after Real Madrid team-mate Isco was mocking on Wednesday in the Champions League.

Spain international Isco came in for some rough treatment from the home supporters during the 3-0 defeat at the hands of CSKA Moscow at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Marcelo says he can understand the frustration of Los Blancos fans and feels the players have to take responsibility to make sure Real turn their season around after a stuttering start.

He said: “The fans have the right to whistle if they are not happy with someone. They have also done it to me.

“We are a team and we are going to work hard, so that it doesn’t happen any more.”
