I may leave Enyimba —Udoji

Enyimba FC captain, Chinedu Udoji, has revealed he is weighing up his options at Enyimba.

Udoji has won eight trophies with the Aba Millionaires since he joined in 2010 but seven seasons later, Udoji seems to want a fresh challenge.

“Though i’m still discussing with the management of Enyimba FC about my future, the probability that I will leave the club is high,” Udoji told Goal.

“The first season I joined Enyimba, I won the league same as when I was made the captain. Those memories are special and will always be with me. 2010 till date, I have won eight trophies while at Enyimba, personally that’s huge and as professional footballer I have won everything in Nigeria. Maybe it’s time to venture outside the shores of the country for a fresh challenge.

“My greatest regret while at Enyimba would be not lifting the CAF Champions League trophy. It does hurt but what can one do? We tried but just couldn’t lift that trophy. I still believe I will achieve that even at any other club if i’m still in Nigeria.

“If I end up leaving Enyimba then I will consider the offers, sit with my family and discus my next decision. Offers have always been there each season I spend at Enyimba.

“I am very ambitious and I will only go to a club that is ambitious too. Regardless of where the club is; their vision will be an important part of whatever decision I will make.”

Though there are interesting offers within and outside of Nigeria but it’s important to see where the discussion with Enyimba is headed before I decide on my next move.”
