Ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes Chelsea star Victor Moses did not acquit himself very well under previous coaches at Chelsea and therefore his potential was not tapped early enough.
The Nigerian winger emerged as one of Conte’s main players so far this term after being overlooked by previous managers since moving to Stamford Bridge in 2012.
However, Conte spotted Moses’ potential during pre-season and the 25-year-old’s flourished as a wing-back in the Italian’s new system.
‘He’s a player, who’s been around and played for a load of different clubs. He’s never convinced.
“Sometimes it’s not a case of saying the last manager never picked him was wrong. I think his performances were not good enough.
Moses has converted many doubters this term and Carragher believes the former Crystal Palace man is made for Chelsea’s 3-4-3 system.
“He looks perfect for the system,” said Carragher on Metro.
‘Maybe now Conte’s getting more out of him and the system suits him.”
