The 23-year-old who was close to full fitness has seen his progress cut short and will be out for six months
Hull City’s Moses Odubajo has suffered an injury setback and is set to be out for another six months.
The former Leyton Orient player who had recently relished the prospect of returning to action in November was sent back to the treatment table via ‘a non-contact incident’ during training, according to an official statement.
“The full-back, who had been making excellent strides on his comeback following dislocating his patella in the summer, picked the injury up in a non-contact incident whilst in training,” Hull City wrote on their website.
“Moses was assessed by surgeons in London yesterday who stated the player would be required to undergo more surgery to stabilise the fracture and this will be undertaken early next week.
“Positively, the 23-year-old’s knee ligaments remain intact, including the MPFL reconstruction he had in the summer.
“The Club, staff and players wish Moses a full and speedy recovery from this latest setback.”
The Nigerian also bemoaned the unfortunate incident via a post on Twitter that reads: “Appreciate all the support people, massive blow to be so close then this happen. Only thing I can do is stay positive these things happen.”
