Musa: ‘I will keep on working very hard’

The Nigeria international has promised not to take his feet off the pedal after netting his first English topflight strike for the Foxes

Ahmed Musa has promised to keep working hard after scoring his first goal in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Musa’s 20-yard effort in the 42nd minute set Claudio Ranieri’s side for an emphatic 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium and the 24-year-old noted the impact the goal had on the game.

“For me, it’s a very good beginning scoring a goal like that,” Musa told LCFCTV.

“I will keep on working very hard with my teammates and the coach and we will see what is going to happen.

“Yes, I think the goal was very important because we were still on level terms and that goal gave us the lead before half-time. The goal gave us confidence.”

Goals from Shinji Okazaki and left back Christian Fuchs made Yohan Cabaye’s late effort a mere consolation and the former CSKA Moscow applauded the strikes.

“It was a very fantastic goal from him (Okazaki) and scoring the second goal made the team more confident.

“It was very good; good shot, good goal. I think it was a very fantastic goal from him,” he admired Fuch’s strike.

The victory over Alan Pardew’s men saw the defending league champion climb to the 12th position with 11 points from nine games.
