Teenager likened to Paul Pogba was born in 1992 and came on for a short cameo at the end of the 2-0 friendly win
MUSTAFA KAPI last night made his senior debut for Galatasaray – aged just 14.
The box-to-box midfielder came on for a short cameo at the end of the Turkish Super Lig side’s 2-0 friendly win over Levski Sofia.
It comes just a week after Celtic played 13-year-old wonderkid Karamoko Dembele for their Under-20s.
Kapi was born in 2002 and has been reportedly been likened to Manchester United star Paul Pogba.
His actual impact on the game was little given how late he came on, but pictures of Kapi afterwards show much the chance to play meant to him.
He could be seen running over to head coach Jan Olde Riekerink for a big hug after the final whistle.
Kapi turned 14 in August and has played for Galatasaray’s academy for three years since signing from Denizlispor, his hometown team, also in Turkey.
Watch out, Wesley Sneijder.
