The forward insists there has been no contact with the two-time African champions about a possible return
Nasarawa United striker Abdulrahman Bashir has ruled out a return to his former club Enyimba International.
Bashir has been frequently linked with a return to Aba after his wonderful performance for Nasarawa United in the 2016 NPFL season.
However the striker insists he has no intention of cutting short his stay with the Solid Miners.
“There is no contact or hint from Enyimba for now. I’m happy at my current club Nasarawa United,” Bashir told Goal.
“It’s not a possibility to return to Aba after my stint there. I don’t want to be drawn into speculation on my future.
“We will be playing the Federation Cup final against FC Ifeanyi Ubah and that is what occupies my mind at the moment.”
Bashir passed a vote of confidence on the current Nasarawa United and declared that next league campaign will be better in the teams of the club’s performance.
“I hope next season will be better for me in terms of contributing to the success of Nasarawa United in the league,” he added.
“We started a bit slow and played catch up game at some stage in the season.
“Top eleven finish for us! Can we say that is our real standard? For me we have what is takes to be up on the ladder.”
