NFF, SWAN felicitate sports minister on birthday

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) FCT chapter have congratulated the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, on his 58th birthday which falls on Tuesday, 4th June 2024.

NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, said the Federation is delighted with the support and encouragement it has been receiving from Enoh since he assumed office while praying God will keep the minister in good health and sound mind for the remainder of his years on earth.

“In all ramifications and by every parameter, Senator John Owan Enoh is a good and great man. You cannot talk about the achievements of the NFF and the national teams in the past one year without mentioning his contributions. Morally and physically, in terms of advice, and in helping to push our matters within government and elsewhere, he has been there for us in a solid way.

“On behalf of the entire Nigeria football fraternity, we celebrate him today and always. We pray that God will continue to grant him good health and sound mind in the years ahead,” Gusau stated.

In the same vein, the FCT SWAN in a statement signed by its secretary, Samuel Ahmadu, lauded Enoh’s exceptional leadership and contributions to sports in the last one year.

Ahmadu quoted the SWAN chairman, Kelechi Onwudiwe, as saying that the minister has not only made notable achievements but is also a trailblazer in the sporting sector.

“Today, we celebrate a visionary leader who is propelling the sports sector to unprecedented heights.

“Senator Enoh, despite his initial limited knowledge as a sports administrator, has demonstrated remarkable determination and courage in advancing the sector.”

Onwudiwe praised Senator Enoh’s focused and effective leadership since coming into office, citing his dedication to athlete welfare and administrative excellence.

“His commitment to achieving outstanding results with simplicity and humanity is evident in his daily endeavours.

“As you celebrate this special day, we wish you good health and the fulfillment of your aspirations.”
