The Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) of the Nigeria Youth League (N-Youth League), Robinson Adakosa, has expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Sports Development for endorsing the upcoming N-Youth League.
In the same vein, Adakosa also extends appreciation to the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and the Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCT-FA) for the endorsement of the League which he said is targeted to expose budding youth players to national and international limelight and promoting Nigerian football on global stage.
The Ministry, NFF, NPFL and the FCT-FA have all shown their support for the commencement of the League which is expected to kick off later in the year to provide an avenue for young and upcoming players to display their skills and talents as well as promote development and growth of football in the country.
Adakosa, in a statement signed by the media and communication department of the N-Youth League, said the Registration commenced on the 1st of June, 2024. He commended the Ministry and the football bodies for their support saying the endorsement has clearly shown that sports administrators want the best for the country’s football right from the grassroots by believing in the youths to project Nigerian football to the outside world.
“The National Youth League cannot thank enough the Ministry of Sports Development, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and the Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCT-FA) for endorsing this League.
“Our target is to expose budding, skilful and talented players to national and international limelight and promote Nigerian football on the global stage. With the endorsement therefore, we promise not to let Nigeria down as we will give our best in ensuring that the objective of the competition is strictly adhered to which is to get the best legs from the grassroots to project Nigerian football globally.
“We will make sure that the League is in line with the best global practices and regulations governing football worldwide,” Adakosa stated.
