The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has released the list of athletes that will represent the country in the upcoming 2023 World Athletics Championship in Budapest.
The athletics body a few weeks ago organised a trial for the athletes at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin City, Edo State.
The athletes that made their mark in the trials and met up the required time and standard of the World Athletics made the list.
But the notable name missing from the list is 100m women’s hurdles champion Tobiloba Amusan.
The Olympic champion was suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) a few weeks ago after failing to show up for the compulsory doping test on three occasions.
The hardworking athlete has promised to clear her name but it might be too late as the championship is set to run between August 17 and 29.
