The deputy president, International Table Tennis Federation, Enitan Oshodi has advised the federal government to play International sports politics.
Oshodi, speaking against the series of politics being played at the international level in various Federation which affected the country believed that it is high time for the country to play it at that level.
In a chat with Sportingtribune at Alexander Stadium, Sunday the former president, Nigeria Table Tennis Federation, who expressed sadness over this development said, “It is high time we (Nigeria) get involved in international sports politics because it will help a lot at such sports meets like this. There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes that are not known to the public and if we get involved it be beneficial to us as a nation,” he said.
Oshodi continued,”There are some decisions taken against Nigeria at these games that ordinarily it would not have been taken but since we are not playing the politics at that level,they go away with it”.
“It is on this premise that I am calling on the Federal government through the Ministry of Youths and Sports to enjoined various Federation push for positions at that level because it will help the country a lot,” he said.
