Nigerian-born John Olanrewaju Aborisade who currently plays for Braintree FC Academy, UK, has disclosed that his training experience with the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, is an unforgettable experience which will in no small measure help his career.
Aborisade stated this in an interview with Tribunesport during one of his training sessions with the club at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, during his short holiday in Nigeria.
The 16-year-old midfielder born in UK in July 2002 said his exposure with the Ibadan darling side has further drawn him closer to have a taste of raw and fantastic football talent abound in the country.
“As a Nigerian living in the United Kingdom, I have followed Nigerian football with passion; the Super Eagles and some clubsides, and with the privilege of holiday in Nigeria, having a training session with the great 3SC is an experience I can never describe.
“I mean, having to step on the turf with the players and officials of the club I adore is an awesome experience. I enjoyed every bit of the sessions I had with them.
“I thank the officials first for giving me the privilege to train with the team; the players, their love and experience I gained during the period is what I can never forget.
“I grew up to know 3SC as a fantastic club side. A team with rich history both in Nigeria and in Africa, having an opportunity to train alongside the team and warm reception from club officials is what I will cherish for a long time, because it has also provided me an opportunity to experience Nigerian football at the grassroots which I know could help in playing for any of the national teams whenever I’m being given the opportunity,” Aborisade said.
