NNL: 3SC supporters call for 3-day fasting ahead Super 8

SUPPORTERS of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) have urged faithful of the team to embark on a three-day fasting and prayers to assist the Oluyole Warriors secure promotion ticket at the Nigeria National League, NNL Super 8 scheduled to kick off today in Enugu.
The play-off which will be decided at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, will involve 3SC, Ekiti United, Bendel Insurance and Remo Stars who qualified from the Southern group, while the Northern group qualifiers are El-Kanemi Warriors, DMD FC, Borno, Gombe United and Niger Tornadoes.
Two teams from each group will be promoted to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after the round-robin matches at ‘The Cathedral’.
Oyeniyi Oluwafemi Okikiolu, in a statement signed on behalf of 3SC Supporters said that the Oluyole Warriors who missed NPFL ticket in the last two seasons have to be backed by prayers to enable the team to win NPFL ticket in Enugu.
“It is not over until it is over, therefore, Shooting Stars supporters have declared three days of fasting and prayers to commence from tomorrow, the 7th September, 2021 for the play-off in Enugu.
“The prayer points  include the followings: that God should give 3SC victories in all the matches; that 3SC players should not sustain any form of injury; that God should give the technical crew wisdom in the selection process; that unity should reign very supreme among the technical crew, the management and players because unity is strength and that God should grant them journey mercy when coming back with the Premiership [NPFL] ticket. Please this is
a very critical situation but with God all things are possible,” Oyeniyi said.
