No Messi fear for Eagles ―Henry Nwosu

IT has been suggested that the Super Eagles will have no fear of Argentina’s captain, Leo Messi, during the final Group D game of the Russia 2018 World Cup.

The Eagles recently thumped Argentina 4-2 in Krasnodar, Russia in an international friendly but Nigeria’s head coach, Gernot Rohr, believes it was less difficult because Messi pulled out of the game.

However, Henry Nwosu who was on the coaching crew of Nigeria at the 2002 World Cup finals where Argentina beat the Eagles by a lone goal told Vintage Sports that Messi can’t stop the Eagles from winning the game.

”Yes, Messi did not play in the friendly but the Eagles now know him.

They can’t accord him the respect he gets from LaLiga defenders. He can’t threaten the Eagles because our boys will mark him accordingly”

Nwosu, who also captained the Eagles in the 90s explained that Messi plays better with FC Barcelona than in the national team because” he gets the needed space and operates at the high level with his teammates, he can’t get such luxuries against the Eagles” he added.
