The newly-appointed Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC) Bukola Olopade, has formally assumed duties.
The Ogun State former Commissioner of Sports started his tenure by meeting the Commission’s chairman, Shehu Dikko, directors and staff and also engaged in discussions on key sports-related matters as well as laying out his vision for the Commission’s future.
He expressed his readiness to work with the chairman describing their collaboration as quintessential for achieving the Commission’s goals in developing Nigeria’s sporting sector.
Olopade reiterated his commitment to dialogue, teamwork and setting a strong foundation for sports development in the country.
In the same vein, the DG has approved the appointment of three aides to serve in the office of the Director-General of the Commission. Those appointed are Seyi Johnson, Special Assistant; Kola Daniel, Special Assistant, Media and Ebidiowei Oweifie Special Assistant, Special Duties.
Also, Micheal Obasi, a sports journalist with Hot FM, Abuja has joined the media team of the DG. Obasi, an experienced media consultant and award-winning Sports presenter, is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear for effective information dissemination from the office of the DG.
