The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has congratulated Nigerian volleyball clubs that represented the country at the 2026 CAVB Zone 3 Club Championship which was held in Ghana.
Vipers Volleyball Club, in the women’s category, clinched the silver medal while Nigeria Customs Service Volleyball Club secured the bronze medal after defeating Ghana Police Volleyball Club 3–0 (25–21, 25–7, 25–20).
In the men’s category, Nigeria Customs Service Volleyball Club also delivered a commendable performance, finishing as silver medalists after reaching the final of the regional championship.
Speaking on the achievement, the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Musa Nimrod, commended the players, coaches and management of the participating clubs for their dedication, resilience, and patriotism in representing Nigeria with pride.
According to Nimrod, the performance of the clubs reflects the steady progress and competitiveness of Nigerian volleyball within the West African region.
“We are proud of the performances of our clubs at the championship. Their achievements demonstrate the strength of Nigerian volleyball and the commitment of our athletes and coaches to excellence. The Federation will continue to support initiatives that enhance the development and international competitiveness of our clubs,” he said.
According to the Federation, the success of the Nigerian teams at the championship will inspire more clubs and young athletes across the country to pursue volleyball at competitive levels.
“The Federation congratulated Vipers Volleyball Club, Nigeria Customs Service Volleyball Club, and all officials who contributed to the successful representation of Nigeria at the regional tournament. The Nigeria Volleyball Federation reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening club volleyball development and promoting greater participation in continental competitions,” a statement signed by the chairman, Media and Publicity Committee, (NVBF), Godspower Odedede, read.
