Real Madrid have confirmed that Florentino Pérez has been re-elected as club president, extending his leadership of the Spanish giants after winning the latest presidential election.
In an official statement published on the club’s website on Monday morning, the Electoral Board announced the final outcome of the vote after all ballots were counted.
“With 100% of the in-person and postal votes counted, the candidacy headed by Mr. Florentino Pérez has won the elections for President and Board of Directors of Real Madrid,” the statement read.
The board detailed the final figures, confirming a clear margin between both candidates.
“The candidacy headed by Mr Florentino Pérez obtained 21,741 votes, which represents 65%,” the statement read.

His opponent, Enrique Riquelme, finished with 11,814 votes, securing 35 per cent of the total ballots cast.
“The candidacy headed by Mr Enrique Riquelme obtained 11,814 votes, representing 35%,” the Electoral Board added.
The result ensures Pérez continues in charge of Real Madrid, overseeing a new Board of Directors that includes Vice Presidents Eduardo Fernández de Blas, Pedro López Jiménez, Enrique Sánchez González and Enrique Pérez Rodríguez.
The newly elected structure also features Secretary José Luis del Valle Pérez, alongside several other board members who will serve under the new administration.
Pérez’s victory further extends his long tenure at the club, which has seen Real Madrid maintain its position among Europe’s most successful sides.
The result comes at a time of continued planning at the club level, with reports linking Real Madrid to further squad changes ahead of the new season.
Perez’s renewed mandate is expected to be followed by official movement in the transfer market, including potential announcements involving José Mourinho, Ibrahima Konaté and Denzel Dumfries.
Mourinho, who has left Benfica, is expected to be presented at the Santiago Bernabéu in the coming days.
In recent days, Pérez has also been linked with plans to submit a €150 million offer for a “galáctico-like player” as part of a future squad reinforcement strategy.
