The Trabzonspor midfielder sees Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against the Greens as a tricky encounter and has called for focus
Ogenyi Onazi is looking forward to a fierce game when Nigeria host Algeria in the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Saturday for a ticket to Russia 2018.
Onazi believes the Super Eagles have a daunting task ahead of them to show supremacy over the third best team in Africa and also to maintain their position as Group B leaders with maximum points.
“We don’t need to speak too much but we will try to concentrate on ourselves,” Onazi told media.
“We also want Nigerians to know that the game against Algeria on Saturday is not going to be easy.
“Any side playing against Nigeria these days tend to raise their game so we know the task ahead of us. We don’t want to talk too much in the press but just focus on what we have to do.
“We just pray for God to give us the grace to get all three points on Saturday.”
