Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye will miss Nigeria’s friendly against Jordan after suffering a thigh injury during training in Antalya, Turkey.
Okoye’s injury brings the number of players ruled out of the Super Eagles squad.
Fulham defender Calvin Bassey had earlier withdrawn due to a back injury and was replaced by Trabzonspor’s Chibuike Nwaiwu.
The Super Eagles are camped at Bellis Deluxe Hotel, Antalya, ahead of Tuesday’s second international friendly.
Head Coach Eric Chelle had named Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Ademola Lookman in a 23-man squad.
The fixtures were moved from Amman to Antalya due to the conflict in the Middle East.
Nigeria will face Jordan on Tuesday at Corendon Airlines Park in Antalya.
Super Eagles Media Officer, Promise Efoghe, said the team held a recovery session after defeating Iran 2-1 in their first match.
“The players recovered well and quickly shifted focus to preparations for the next game,” Efoghe said.
He confirmed Okoye’s withdrawal after sustaining an injury in training.

“It is unfortunate that Okoye picked up a thigh knock in our final session and will miss the match. We wish him a quick recovery,” he said.
Efoghe said the technical crew had adjusted plans to accommodate the absence.
“The coaches have reorganised the goalkeeping unit and ensured readiness among available options,” he said.
He noted that the final training session held on Monday saw the coaching crew fine-tune strategies ahead of Tuesday’s encounter.
“The training was detailed and tactical, focusing on match situations and team cohesion,” he said.
He expressed confidence in the team’s preparation for the second friendly.
“We are satisfied with preparations and expect another competitive outing against Jordan.
“The response from the players has been excellent, with high intensity and determination.”
The Super Eagles will take on Jordan on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Nigerian time in Antalya, Turkey.
