Ola Aina joins Torino on loan

Ola Aina has officially extended his contract with Chelsea until 2021 and completed a loan move to Torino.

The 21-year-old right-back was born in London, but plays his international football for Nigeria with four senior caps.

He already took part in today’s training session with his new Toro teammates at the Stadio Filadelfia.

Italian reports suggest there is an option to buy for €8m, but this has not yet been confirmed.

“Ola Aina has signed a new contract at Stamford Bridge until 2021 and will spend the 2018/19 season on loan at Italian side Torino,” read a Chelsea statement.

“Aina, a versatile defender, made his first-team debut for the Blues in a League Cup win over Bristol Rovers in 2016 having progressed through our Academy.
