The senior women’s national team coach has released some of the invited players to represent their clubs in the country’s longest cup competition in Lagos on Sunday
Super Falcons’ coach, Florence Omagbemi has released Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens players in the women national team camp for the women’s Federation Cup final in Lagos.
The final of the 2016 edition of the Cup competition will take place between the two sides at the Teslim Balogun stadium by 1pm on Sunday.
Some of the players released by the gaffer are Angels’ goalkeeper, Ibubeleye Whyte, defenders Osinachi Ohale, Ugo Njoku, Gladys Akpa, midfielders Chioma Wogu and Glory Iroka, while Queens’ duo of goalkeeper Alaba Jonathan and playmaker Osarenoma Igbinovia will also be on their way to represent their club for the title on Sunday.
Coach Rolandson Odeh will replace Lilian Atule, Joy Bokiri and Yetunde Adeboyejo, who are on assignment with the Falconets in Papau New Guinea, while Edwin Okon will have to do without defender Patience Kalu.
The ladies will be cheered to victory by the Governors of Lagos, Anambra, Nasarawa, Bayelsa and Rivers States.
