Abia Warriors head coach, Abdul Usman Biffo has said his side are determined to rewrite history against oriental neighbours Enugu Rangers today.

The Umuahia Warriors will confront reigning champions Rangers in a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match day 21 clash at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

Biffo said his side have forgotten the first fixture victory in Enugu to concentrate on achieving the mark set for themselves in the ongoing top-flight.

“Our preparation for the match is same as any other match, we dropped several points in the first term so we will fight hard to regain the points in the second term, both on home front and away.

“Abia Warriors have not beaten Enugu Rangers in Umuahia we are determined to rewrite the history.

“We are not thinking of the first fixture clash victory in Enugu, but to improve on our fortune on the log.

“We are aware of the threat Rangers pose to us as they have been impressive in their recent past matches.

“We equally know the threat of new inclusions to the squad we met in the first game so we are prepared to give Rangers the toughest match in the on-going top-flight,” the former Niger Tornadoes coach told supersport.com.

Abia Warriors are ninth on the 20-team top-flight on 28 points, eight behind league leaders Plateau United.
