Oyetola promises to give sports, tourism in Osun priority

Osun State governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola has expresses his determination to take tourism and sports as a priority in the state.

Speaking at the Inaugural Golf Kitty organised by friends of Osun State deputy governor, governor, Gboyega Alabi last weekend to usher in Oyetola as the governor of the state, he said he was ready to make the State great in terms of sports development.

“We are now determined to take tourism and sports as priority, being vehicles that could enhance the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and promote the well-being of the people of Osun,” he noted.

Meanwhile, Captain of the Club, Alhaji Akeem Afolabi in his remarks said: “On behalf of the entire members of MicCom Golf and Country Club, Ada, I thank our Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola and his Deputy, Mr Gboyega Alabi for the honour extended to MicCom Golf Club.  I wish them all the wisdom and strength they need to take the state to greater heights.

“Part of our plan this year is to organise the Osun Golf Open and Governor’s Cup which will attract golfers across the country and from Europe so as to boost the tourism in the State.”

Meanwhile, Wonderful Ilori, a member of MicCom Golf Club emerged the overall winner of the kitty having played off handicap 6 returning 66 Net score.
