Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Harry Kane sustained a “knock” against Juventus and is a doubt to face Rochdale in the FA Cup.
Kane scored as Tottenham came from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw in Turin on Tuesday but the England international suffered a slight ankle injury during the Champions League tie.
Spurs will assess Kane on Saturday and Pochettino admits he could be without the striker for the fifth-round trip to Spotland on Sunday.
“Harry suffered a knock. Of course, there is the possibility we will start with Fernando [Llorente, against Rochdale],” said Pochettino.
“He twisted his ankle and received a knock. We need to assess him tomorrow. If he is fit maybe he has the possibility to play, if he is not 100 percent he could be on the bench or maybe half an hour, or 20 minutes. We need to assess him tomorrow to see if he possible for the squad.
“We are not worried [about him facing Crystal Palace on February 26] but we need to take care.”
