Rakitic may snub Inter chance

Inter Milan seem set to miss out on Ivan Rakitic as the midfielder is reportedly keen to remain with Barcelona.

The Croatian has been linked with a summer move away from Barcelona, in part due to the impending arrival of Ajax’s Frenkie de Jong at Camp Nou, and Inter have been linked with a swoop.

According to Spain’s Marca, Rakitic is eager to stay and wishes to fight for his place in Ernesto Valverde’s side and has no intention to depart.

The 31-year-old central midfielder, who is under contract until 2021, has been with Barcelona since joining from Sevilla in the summer of 2014 and is a regular in the side with 45 appearances across all competitions this season, managing five goals and nine assists.
