Former Arsenal star, Aaron Ramsey robbed Cristiano Ronaldo of the chance to break Lionel Messi’s record in their Champions League clash against Lokomotiv Moscow.

Ronaldo is hoping to become the first player to score against 34 Champions League teams.

The Portugal international would surpass Lionel Messi and Raul, who are both on 33 if he bags against Lokomotiv Moscow.

Ronaldo thought he’d scored after just three minutes on Wednesday night.

Alvim Marinato let Ronaldo’s free-kick through his legs and the ball trickled towards the goal line.

However, just before it crossed the line, Ramsey toed the ball in to steal Ronaldo’s goal.

And fans were fuming with former Arsenal star Ramsey for poking the ball home.

One wrote on Twitter: “Ramsey really stole Ronaldo’s only free-kick goal.”

Another said: “Ramsey Took Ronaldo’s Goal? His Days At Juve Are Numbered.”

“I thought they gave it to Ronaldo but Ramsey told Cris it was all him,” said a fellow fan.

Another said: “Cristiano Ronaldo must be furious. Ramsey literally stole his free-kick goal.”

Ronaldo is hoping to have a better outing than his arch-rival Messi in the Champions League.

Barcelona were held to a 0-0 draw at the Nou Camp on Tuesday night against Slavia Prague.

Messi hit the post after a sensational run, however, the Spanish giants couldn’t breakthrough.

Following Ramsey’s opener, Aleksey Miranchuk levelled the scoreline for Lokomotiv Moscow in the 12th minute.

A win for Juventus in Moscow on Wednesday would leave Ronaldo and co-top of Group D after four games.

The Italian giants would be on 10 points, four ahead of Lokomotiv Moscow in second.

Juventus are back in action in Serie A on the weekend, with the champions welcoming AC Milan to the Allianz Stadium on Sunday night.
