Arsene Wenger believes Eden Hazard has been struggling to perform at Real Madrid since his summer transfer from Chelsea because he has put on too much weight.
Eden Hazard has struggled since joining Real Madrid in the summer for £88million.
And Wenger believes the reason is his weight.
After joining the club, Hazard was pictured looking significantly larger than he had during his time at Chelsea.
The Belgian winger was suffering from a hamstring injury which kept him out of the first La Liga games of the season.
He has scored only one goal all season, providing three assists.

Having played 10 games across all competitions, Hazard has failed to live up to the price tag and failed to grab a goal in Wednesday night’s 6-0 win over Galatasaray.
Speaking on beIN Sports, Wenger explained that he believes the reason is partly down to his increased weight.
“I feel we have not seen the Hazard we’ve known in England yet,” Wenger said.
“He was not physically fit after he was injured.
“Is he a little bit… he’s not a player usually impressed by anything, but he looked to me like he does not have the same confidence he had at Chelsea.”
Wenger dismissed the idea that Hazard is struggling to cope as a result of the pressure, saying: “He’s not the type of guy to be like that.

“I don’t know him well enough to assess that.
“But I think it was more down to physical reasons.
“He came too heavy like we read in the papers.
