Neymar
Neymar’s advertising campaign has been suspended by Mastercard after the Brazilian has been accused of an alleged rape.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward picked up an injury in a friendly against Qatar and will miss the Copa America this summer, which will be hosted by his native country of Brazil.
As reported by O Estado do Sao Paulo, the controversy surrounding Neymar was the reason behind the sponsor’s decision.

“We have a series of marketing campaigns, but we decided to stop all those that include Neymar as our brand ambassador until the issue is resolved,” read Mastercard’s statement.
Brazilian channel Record TV showed a video of the meeting between Neymar and the model Najila Trindade in a Paris hotel, where the two engaged in a scuffle.
Later on, the player’s father made it clear that Neymar is innocent after the release of the video.
