Real Madrid choose between Bale and Mbappe

Gareth Bale has been assured by Real Madrid that he has a future at the club and they will not try to sign Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe until next summer.

Mbappe is the hottest property in Europe at the moment and Real Madrid have been linked with a move for the 18-year-old all summer.

The potential transfer, however, would mean that one of the ‘Galacticos’ has to be sacraficed to make space for the talented French striker.

After Bale appeared to be the star that would leave the Spanish and European champions in order to help raise the funds for a £160 bid for Mbappe, he has now been assured by Madrid that he has a future at the club.

With prized asset Cristiano Ronaldo turning 33 in February, ‘Los Blanos’ view the Welshman as having a long-term future in Zinedine Zidane’s side.

The news will come as a blow to Joes Mourinho and Manchester United, who have been monitoring the 28-year-old’s situation at Madrid.

Bale can now look forward to the UEFA Super Cup on Tuesday with United and the new La Liga campaign. The winger will be hoping to impress in order to secure at spot in Zidane’s starting XI.
