Remo Stars whip ABS FC 3-0

REMO Stars on Sunday returned to winning ways by beating ABS of Ilorin by 3-0 in a Nigeria Professional Football League game played at the Dipo Dina Stadium.

The team handled by Fatai Osho had gone on four-match winless run before Sunday when they hit top form against the ABS visitors.

Ekene Awazie, 7th min, Oche Salefu, 61 min, and Balogun Sodiq, 88th minute made the day for Remo Stars to send ABS back to Ilorin empty-handed.

Meanwhile, for the third time on the road, the Shooting Stars pulled a 1-1 draw against Gombe United in another thrilling weekend game.

Shooting Stars had gone behind through a Samuel Agba strike in the 31st minute but Shooting Stars’ Mbakwe rescued apoint for his side through a back-breaking 90th minute equaliser.

At Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos, Plateau United overcame Kano Pillars with goals from Ibeh Johson  15th min and Golbe Elisha 55th min.

Akwa United were ruthless on Sunshine Stars beating the Akure team 3-1 at the God’swill Akpabio Stadium.

A 31st minute goal was followed by Friday Mbong brace in the 41st and 43rd minutes.

Yahuza Bala sored Sunshine’s only goal in the 22nd minute.
