Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr says he is yet to draw his 35-man pre-World Cup list, adding that the Nigeria camp is still open for more quality players.
The coach is expected to submit the 35-man pre-World Cup list by May 31 as directed by the world football governing FIFA.
Speaking to Tribunesport after the Super Eagles lost 0-2 to Serbia on Tuesday night at The HIVE, Barnet Stadium, London, Rohr said that there was still more time to inject new players into the team in order to plug the loopholes already noticed.
According to him, “I am not close to my 35-man pre-World Cup list, we still have three more friendlies to play and before that period new players who excel may make the team. We want the players to know that it’s not automatic to get the national team jersey and they must work for it.
“Going to the World Cup is not a jamboree. Every player must work for his position in the team and as such should be ready to make a sacrifice,” the Franco-German told Tribunesport.
