New invitee and Standard Liege star, Uche Agbo believes that the Super Eagles have the quality but with the right attitude and mentality, they could go as far as the semi-finals in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
“The World Cup is a special tournament that everyone wants to play in. It is a tournament that is played only once in four years, so that makes it really special and interesting, so every player across the globe will like to participate of which I am not an exemption,” Agbo told scorenigeria.com.
“We have proved that we have what it takes to compete against their counterpart from around the globe, posting a good result against South American giants Argentina.
“We can now go as far as the semifinals in Russia.”
On being a fringe member of the senior national team, Agbo said, “I will wait for my time to get regular playing time in the Super Eagles as I was always in the squad for all the World Cup qualifiers which in itself is huge and a great achievement for me.
“I am delighted to have being a part of the players who qualified Nigeria to Russia 2018. And also playing every week for my club, Standard Liege of Belgium which is also very good for my confidence.”
