The plane of the Saudi Arabia World Cup team caught on fire as they travelled to their next match in Russia.
Flames were seen jumping from one of the engines of the Russian Airlines Airbus which was travelling to Rostov where they will play against Uruguay tomorrow.
Thankfully, no-one was injured, and the team landed and made it off the plane safely.
An official statement read from the football association read: ‘The Saudi Football Federation wishes to reassure everyone about the safety of all members of the mission of the national team after a minor technical malfunction in an engine.
“The plane landed a few minutes ago at Rostov on Don Airport, and UNOMIG personnel are now safely heading to their residence.”
It is understood the plane is 12-years-old and players filmed themselves calmly leaving the aircraft after their ordeal.
