See why Diego Simeone will be present for Napoli’s Scudetto celebrations

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is expected to be in attendance at Napoli’s upcoming Serie A match against Fiorentina, according to reports from Corriere della Sera.

The occasion holds special significance for Simeone, as his son Giovanni recently secured the Scudetto with Napoli in their match against Udinese. Simeone had promised his son that he would be present in Naples if the team clinched the league title.

Already in Naples, Simeone has taken the opportunity to explore the city, undeterred by fans who recognized him and sought autographs. During negotiations for Giovanni’s move to Napoli, Diego actively supported and advised his son, expressing his hope for a smooth transition.

The father-son duo shares a close bond, and recently, Giovanni achieved a remarkable feat by equaling his father’s record of scoring four goals in his first four Champions League matches, courtesy of his brace against Rangers.

As Diego Simeone takes his place in the stands at the Maradona Stadium, his presence will undoubtedly add an extra layer of significance to the match for both the Simeone family and the Napoli faithful.
