Seven people have been charged for alleged simple homicide with eventual intent over the death of Diego Armando Maradona.
The accused are all healthcare professionals who assisted Maradona before his death from a heart attack on November 25 last year and will be able to put forward their response from May 31.
At the start of this month, a panel of medical experts concluded that the work of the healthcare professionals who assisted Maradona was “inadequate, deficient and reckless”.
Now, these healthcare professionals face a potential prison sentence of between eight and 25 years.

Under investigation are Leopoldo Luque, the neurosurgeon who operated on Maradona in November 2020, Agustina Cosachov, the psychiatrist who was in charge of his medications, Carlos Diaz, the last psychologist Maradona had, and was the doctor who made assessments after the work of Luque and Cosachov and Nancy Forlini: She is the doctor who coordinated the home hospitalisation.
Others are Mariano Perroni, who was the coordinator of the nurses, Dahiana Gisela Madrid, the home nurse who was in the building when Maradona passed and Ricardo Almiron: The nurse who was in the house the night before Maradona’s death, he was the last person to see him alive.
