Shafaudeen donates ICT equipments to Oyo SWAN

Sports Writers Association of Nigeria Oyo State chapter has received a set of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipments from a Muslim Organization Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide.

The ICT equipments comprising a set of computer system with its accessories were presented to the leaders of Oyo SWAN at the Muslim Organization’s headquarters in Wakajaye, Ibadan.

Presenting the set of computer system to the Oyo SWAN leadership, the Founder and Spiritual Head of Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide, Professor Sabitu Ariyo Olagoke acknowledged the role of the mirror and watchdog of the society.

Professor Olagoke who commended Oyo SWAN for its contributions to the development of sports in the state, further charged sports writers to continue to assist in the discovery and nurturing of sporting talents in the country.

“The role of the press in our society cannot be under-estimated. Oyo SWAN has always been assisting Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide for a long time. We therefore present the set of computer to Oyo SWAN in recognition of the support we have received from the Association,” Professor Olagoke said.

In his response, the State Chairman of SWAN, Mr Niyi Alebiosu thanked Professor Olagoke and the entire members of Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide for their donation.

While stating that sports journalists in the state always appreciate the fatherly support they enjoy from the Islamic cleric, Mr Alebiosu pledged the continued support of sports writers to the Muslim Organization.
