Oyo SWAN holds 4th Ramadan Lecture

All is set for the 4th Ramadan Lecture of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Oyo State Chapter.

The Lecture scheduled for Wednesday 5th of May 2021 will be held at Dapo Aderogba Hall at the NUJ Press Centre Iyaganku Ibadan.

A renowned Islamic Cleric and Scholar, Professor Sabitu Olagoke Ariyo who is also an Engineer and a Justice of Peace will deliver a lecture titled ‘ Fasting During Pandemic: The Takeaways’.

The CEO of Solat Telecoms, Alhaji Ganiyu Ahmed will be the Chairman of the Day, with Oba Olatunde Oginni from Iloko Ijesa serving as the Royal Father of the Day while a Business Tycoon cum Sports Promoter, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde (Kayrom Lee), who is also the Patroness of Oyo SWAN, will be the Mother of Day.

Other dignitaries expected to grace the event are the Chairman of Oyo F.A Oba James Odeniran, the Oyo State Head of Service Alhaja Hamidat Agboola and a frontline Journalist turned Politician, Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, as Special Guests of Honour.

Also, the General Manager of Oyo State Sports Council Mr Gboyega Makinde as well as the General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club Alhaji Rasheed Balogun will be Special Guests at the occasion.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Oyo State Council, Alhaji Ismail Ademola Babalola will be the Chief Host while the Host will be the Chairman Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Oyo State Chapter Mr Abdul – Azeez Adeniyi Alebiosu.

This year’s annual Ramadan Lecture of Oyo SWAN will be crowned with Iftar (break of Ramadan Fast) for sports writers at the residence of Alhaji Abdul – Hameed Adekunle (Hamex)
