Shooting Stars to face Kebbi United in Federation Cup round of 64

… as Pacesetters FC tackle Bayelsa Queens in round of 32

Eight-time winners, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, will face Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Kebbi United, in round 64 of the President’s Federation Cup.

This was revealed at the draws, which was held at the Sunday Dankaro House, Nigeria Football Federation NFF secretariat on Friday in Abuja.

In other draws, Crown United of Ogbomoso will play against Cynosure FC, Zamfara United will engage Barau FC, Rangers against Godswill Akpabio, G12 versus Rivers United, Ikorodu City against Gaa Akanbi FC, Bendel Insurance and Katsina United Jnr, among others. 

In the women’s category, which will start from the round of 32, Pacesetter Queens of Oyo State will slug it out with Bayelsa Queens, while FC Robo will play against Rangers Women.

It is going to be Rivers Angel and NAF Queen as Remo Ladies will size up Ondiarg. Royal Queens will play against Edo Queens, as FUOYE will try their luck against Eshington. 

Speaking at the event, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, who was represented by the General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, said the competition will get underway on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 across the country with the final slated for June 27, 2025  at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State. 

Sanusi said, “This year’s draw is not different from the one we had last year, save the fact that this is easier because we don’t have byes.

“All the teams we have picked will play in the first round. We are going to start this competition from this month, spanning through the World Cup and of course, the final will be on the 27th of next month. For the men, we have 64 teams, and for the women, there are 32 teams.”
