Nantes winger, Moses Simon has been rated the best dribbler in Ligue 1 for the ongoing 2024/25 season, beating several top stars, including former Manchester United winger Mason Greenwood.
According to statistics from EuroFootballRumours.com, Simon leads the French top flight in completed dribbles, ahead of the league’s most dangerous wide men.
The latest rankings, released on Monday, show that the Nigeria international has completed 51 successful dribbles this season — more than any other player in the division.

His closest challenger is Farid El Melali of Angers, who sits second with 48 dribbles, while Yann Gboho of Toulouse occupies third place with 42 dribbles.
Angers’ Himad Abdelli and Marseille’s Mason Greenwood are tied in fourth with 41 dribbles each, while the top ten list also includes Aron Dønnum (Toulouse), Junya Ito (Reims), Luis Henrique (Marseille), Diego Moreira (Strasbourg), Ludovic Blas (Rennes), Ousmane Dembélé (PSG), and Rayan Cherki (Lyon).
Simon’s ability to glide past defenders has been one of Nantes’ brightest sparks in a difficult campaign, where the club has once again struggled with a relegation battle.
The 29-year-old winger, who was part of Nigeria’s squad that finished as runners-up at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, blends athleticism, explosive pace, and close control to torment opposition defences.
His dribbling exploits have not gone unnoticed, with the Nigerian recently ranked the fourth-best dribbler in Europe, behind only Lamine Yamal (Barcelona), Nico Williams (Athletic Bilbao), and Dejan Kulusevski (Tottenham Hotspur).
Simon’s trickery on the ball has also made him one of the most fouled players in Ligue 1. He has been fouled 35 times this season — the 13th-highest tally in the division.
Strasbourg’s Dilane Bakwa, OGC Nice’s Evann Guessand, and Monaco’s Eliesse Ben Seghir top the fouls list.
Meanwhile, the former Levante winger has scored six goals and provided seven assists this season, placing him among the league’s top creators as Nantes battles to avoid relegation.
