Stage set for Elizabeth Adesola Akinjide Memorial golf

Tiger Golf Club (TGC) will be hosting golfers this weekend in the 9th edition of the Annual Elizabeth Adesola Akinjide Memorial golf tournament at TGC 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Odogbo, Ibadan.

The annual tournament, solely sponsored by the Akinjide dynasty is in memory of the late wife of the Patriarch of the family, Chief Richard Akinjide (SAN) will attract golfers across the country for the one day tourney.

Captain of TGC, Dr John Dongo said that the club will be hosting over 150 golfers for the one day event  just as he said golf enthusiasts all over the Country are always expecting the big four majors of the last quarter at Tiger, beginning with the memorial.

The chairman of the Organising Committee, Mr Wale Osungboun, disclosed that the event will commence with a Cocktail party this evening to welcome all participants while Ceremonial Tee-off tomorrow will be jointly performed by Chief Richard Akinjide and the Patron of Tiger Golf Club Maj Gen CM Abraham.

Some of the golfers expected at the programme are Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Aliu Ahman Pategi, Alh Jimada, Dapo Otunla, Barrister Salisu Ahmed, Mr Ibukun Fakeye and a host of others.
