Super Eagles winger, Chukwueze, loses mother

Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze has lost his mother, Mrs Sarah Chukwueze.

The news was disclosed by his brother, David Chukwueze, through a series of posts on Instagram, where he paid tribute to their late mother. Samuel Chukwueze has not yet issued a public statement on the loss.

In one post, David wrote, “Can’t even post your picture to say RIP mum.”

In another, he said, “My forever love just left me without saying goodbye.”

He also noted, “You didn’t even carry your grandchild.”

Details surrounding her illness have not disclosed.

Chukwueze, who featured for the Super Eagles at the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where Nigeria finished third, has yet to issue a public statement on the loss.

The development comes just two days after Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi lost his father, Sunday Ndidi, in a road accident in Delta State.
