  • The Special One was in no mood to be bothered before kick off – waving away Swansea fans desperate to have a selfie taken with United’s manager.
  • “What a waste of money” chanted United fans after Pogba put United in front with a beauty from the edge of the area.
  • Rooney had one of the best seasons of his career out on the left for United in Ronaldo’s final season at Old Trafford in 2009. He looked decent there yesterday, supplying the passes for Ibra’s two goals.
  • Ibra looked like the Karate Kid when he mockingly jumped through the air towards Phil Jones after scoring United’s second goal. Quite a celebration by the super Swede.
  • “We want our club back sang Swansea fans” and they have a point. A minute later they were 0-3 down when Ibra scored his second.
  • Swansea were everybody’s second favourite team when they they were nicknamed “Swanselona”. Those days are well and truly behind them.
  • Bob Bradley impressed the American owners with his encyclopaedic knowledge of Swansea’s players when he arrived for interview. Unfortunately for him they are not as good as he first thought.
  • United have some big lads in there to defend set-pieces, but they are always vulnerable in that area. Nobody fancied marking Mike van der Hoorn when he came forward to score Swansea’s consolation.
