Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss Manchester United’s game against Arsenal through suspension

The super Swede collected his fifth yellow card of the season for a foul on Swansea’s Leroy fer

MANCHESTER UNITED striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss the crunch clash with Arsenal in two weeks through suspension.

The Swedish star picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Swansea City in the 74th minute after a needless tackle on Leroy Fer, but claims he doesn’t know why he was booked.

Having broke his goal drought after not finding the back of the net in over a month, he scored twice in the first half against the Welsh outfit.

His first goal created Premier League history – scoring the 25,000 goal in the English top flight.

But elation soon turned to frustration for his manager Jose Mourinho, as in the second half he got himself in the referee’s notebook, meaning he will miss the game against their old rivals.

Ibrahimovic said to the BBC on his yellow card: “I thought we played rough in England? I play rough and I got a yellow card. What was it for? I don’t know. Maybe I was too tired to hear why the referee gave it.”

The Red Devils got back to winning ways with a convincing 3-1 away win at the Liberty Stadium, their first league win since September.

However, their task of beating the North London side has got a whole lot harder without their maverick leading the line.

Arsenal haven’t tasted defeat since the opening game of the season against Liverpool, and sit in fourth place having missed the chance to go top after drawing 1-1 against Tottenham Hotspur.

Mourinho may wish to pick Wayne Rooney as his main man after the international break, England’s all-time record goalscorer has often been a thorn in the side for Arsene Wenger’s men.

United haven’t lost a league fixture against the Gunners at the Theatre of Dreams since the 2006/07 season
