The Taraba State Government through its Ministry of Youth and Sports has shown its readiness in partnership with LALIGA in order to develop hidden talents.
In a meeting held in Lagos between officials of both organisations, the Taraba State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon Joseph Joshua expressed his delight at the proposed collaboration.
According to him, “We will be very happy to welcome you (LALIGA) to Taraba State. The government is interested in developing human capital in the area of sports, particularly football, and we believe LALIGA is the right partner to collaborate with.
“We want to revive football in the State, train our coaches, and create a pathway for our talented players.”
Projects and Communications Manager for LALIGA Nigeria, Ayodeji Adegbenro, in his response, reiterated LALIGA’s commitment to the development of football in Nigeria.
“We are always on the lookout for the right partners to collaborate with. Through our partnership with institutions such as the NPFL, and the NWFL, we have done a lot in terms of football development at grassroots and elite level.
“We are excited at the prospect of this partnership with the Taraba State Government, we believe we can achieve a lot together,” he said.
