John Terry hotly tipped to become new Aston Villa manager
Steve Bruce is under serious pressure to keep his job at Aston Villa, and anything other than a win against Bristol City on Friday night will only serve to increase speculation over his future.
Villa have won just once in September and currently sit 13th in the Championship, five places below the Robins.
A loss to the Robins on Friday will only give Bruce’s critics more ammunition – and Birmingham Live report that bookmakers have started offering odds on who the next Villa boss could be.
Thierry Henry has been installed as a 5/1 shot to take over at Villa Park, and is believed to be well in the running if Bruce is relieved of his duties.

Elsewhere, ex-Chelsea staple and ex-Villa player John Terry is a 10/1 shot to take over the club and try and get them back in the Premier League.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “It hasn’t quite been the start Villa would have hoped for after their heavy investment.
“Bruce has struggled to win over a large amount of the fans and we could well see Thierry Henry get his first taste in management.
“John Terry’s association with the club will no doubt draw a number of bets but it is still rather unlikely the former Chelsea skipper will take over at Villa Park at this infancy stage of his managerial career.”
