Tyson Fury, the British boxer, has announced that his next fight will take place on Saturday, August 1, in Dublin.

According to Sky Sports, Fury’s warm-up fight – with the opponent yet to be announced – will take place four months before his much-anticipated heavyweight clash with Anthony Joshua in November, with the latter set to face Albanian Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25.

Frank Warren, Tyson Fury’s manager, said that Fury’s next opponent is set to be announced this week, but he already has an IBO super-lightweight fight scheduled for August 1 in Dublin between Pierce O’Leary and Mark Chamberlain, suggesting Fury will join the card.

Fury posted a video on Instagram on ‌Tuesday showing him back in training in Thailand.

The caption was “Let’s go August 1, Dublin, Ireland”.

Fury’s last fight was a comprehensive points win over Russia’s Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Makhmudov lasted the course, but Fury almost scored a shut-out win, 120-108 on two cards and 119-109 on the third.
