Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has revealed why former Nigerian Captain and goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has rejected appeals for him to return to the team.
Rohr revealed it was due to issues with the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
Since taking over as Eagles handler, the Franco-German coach has voiced his desires to see the shot-stopper return to the team following his fine showing for Lille of France.
But his efforts to bring the fans favourite out of retirement from international football have not been successful.
Enyeama quit the team after a row with former coach Sunday Oliseh, who stripped him off his role as captain of the team.
But Rohr insists his main issue lies with someone in the NFF.
He told reporters, “The door is open for Vincent Enyeama in the national team.”
“I think he had a problem with the federation, so he wanted someone to call him before coming.”
“They called him or they didn’t reach him I don’t know.”
“We have three goalkeppers at the moment but we will welcome everybody who will respect our work rate, solidarity, humility and not expect special favours. So the door is opened also to Enyeama.”
