Nigeria’s captain, Ahmed Musa, said the Super Eagles will go for victory against the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde tomorrow in their last group game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
The Super Eagles lead group C with 12 points, while the visitors are second with 10 points.
Nigeria need just a point against Pedro Bubista’s side to secure a place in the final phase of the World Cup qualifiers.
“No one is thinking of a draw. It is a must-win match, as far as we are concerned. The mindset is to win and reach the final round of the World Cup series,” Musa who scored Nigeria’s second goal last weekend against Liberia said.

Meanwhile, head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, said the three-time African champions would approach today’s game with caution.
Rohr okays the pressure on the players, saying the most important thing is to avoid defeat today.
“Yea, of course, we have to make a result not to lose the final game.
“But we are at home. It’s good to have pressure for my players.

“If they believe it’s easy, if they believe it’s done, it’s always difficult.
“So it’s good to play with pressure, so we’ll be able to honour this situation to handle it like we did all the time,” Rohr said.
