Watford on Wednesday announce the signing of Nigerian international winger, Samuel Kalu on a deal until June 2025 from French club FC Girondins de Bordeaux.
The 24-year-old is the club’s fourth signing of the January transfer window following the arrivals of full back Hassane Kamara, defender Samir and midfielder Edo Kayembe under former manager Claudio Ranieri.
On Tuesday, the Premier League outfit announced the appointment of Roy Hodgson as their new boss to replace Ranieri on Monday – who was sacked.
For Kalu and Hodgson they’ll use the international break to familiarise themselves in their new surroundings as Watford look to avoid the drop.

Kalu, who has won 17 caps for Nigeria, can play on either wing – although he prefers the right – and will bolster Watford’s attacking options.
The winger made 11 Ligue 1 appearances for Bordeaux, scoring once before his switch across the English Channel.
He will wear the No 28 at Watford and could make his debut on Saturday evening when Hodgson’s side travel to relegation rivals Burnley.
Watford sit second bottom of the Premier League with 14 points from 20 matches. They’re two points from safety and have two games in hand on 17th-placed Norwich City.
